Author Rebecca Fisher!

Her book, All the Wrong Places, has a new cover and we are excited to reveal it!

Synopsis:

“In life I had suffered a thousand deaths, and in the midst of death I encountered true life. I had looked in all the wrong places, until there, on a hill of ivy, I was found.”

Driving aimlessly through the stormy suburbs of San Francisco, Casey Wheeler is fleeing from her abusive and unfaithful husband with her five year old daughter Maddy asleep in the backseat. With nowhere to go and no one to turn to, Casey loses control of her emotions and her car, crashing into a hillside below a mortuary. Desperately seeking shelter, and more so independence, she finds herself taken in by the mortuary director who apprehensively offers her a job and a place to live. As she stumbles through the ins and outs of her new and morbid surroundings, Casey is forced into a hostile custody battle with her relentless and increasingly violent husband. In the midst of all the chaos, she finds a new family and even love in the eccentric and protective people of Golden Oaks Funeral Home. But just when she has found all she could hope for, she will have to fight to the death to protect it.

This semiautobiographical story of a single-mother and her journey to self-discovery, independence and a true understanding of love will keep readers captivated and yearning for more.

Rebecca Fisher graduated with a B.A. in English and an M.S. in Education, and teaches High School English. Her own experiences living in a mortuary in Northern California and raising her daughter on her own serve as the inspiration for the many macabre and candid encounters in her novel. She lives in California with her husband and two daughters.

Author Bio:

Candy O’Donnell was born in Carmichael, California.

At the age of twelve, she wrote her first mini book. Filled mostly with what took place with her mother and her long tedious bout with leukemia. It was a short story told as extra credit when she suffered a sprained ankle and had to be out of school for over two months. School officials refused to believe a word of what she had written until her grandmother, her guardian back then, entered the school with the truth. Everything she had written down was exactly what took place. Unfortunately her mother succumbed to the disease.

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and Culture. After living with her aunt and uncle for over five years she wished to explore her uncle’s Native heritage and did so with vigor. She also has 6 Grad units in Criminal Justice. Someday she might go back and finish her Master’s.

Steven Spellman doesn't have a history of degrees in literature, but while attending college for computer science, he was praised for his writing ability. One of his professors even assumed he had copied an assignment, saying, "Usually, when we see anything like this, it's plagiarized." Whether reading or writing virtually anything, Steven finds great solace in the ideas and imageries expressed in books. After a nearly fatal accident, Steven was paralyzed for quite some time. Unfortunately, he will never fully recover, but he is now an ardent advocate for the disabled. Having been forced to sit down, Steven took the opportunity to revive his affinity for writing and has since written more than twelve fiction novels Throughout his early twenties he continued to write, but i wasn't until many years later than his wife finally convinced him that writing was his path in life. Three years after than, and dozens of submissions later, he could call himself a published author when three of his short stories were published all in the same month.

If there is any absolute goal Steven has for his life, it is that his reader may find something in his work interesting and whimsical enough to give them a momentary escape from the grating reality of life. This is the greatest compliment that can be paid to him as a writer.

Steven Spellman is thirty four year old career writer who lives in North Carolina with his beautiful wife and two gorgeous daughters, one of whom only recently arrived into his clan. The only thing that comes close to being as important to him as his family is his passion for writing.

Synopsis:
